Renee Burke-Hughes was born and raised in Mildura. Growing up dancing and then teaching at the Mildura Ballet Guild, she rose through the classes and sometimes two grades above, quickly accomplishing her Honours in Advanced Classical Ballet, Modern Jazz, National and Tap at an early age.
She went on to complete her VCE and then furthered her training dance teaching at the ADV in Sydney.
Renee left Mildura and went on to study Mechanical Engineering and Occupational Health and Safety in Geelong where in her spare time, she danced and taught with ex Royal Ballet Soloist Peter Dickinson working with all abilities students at D for Dance.

Returning to Sunraysia to open up her own dance school (Sunraysia Dance Vision) in 2004 for a number of years until she followed her main employment marketing and event management. Renee managed the Mildura City Traders for five years producing 16 major events a year, often utilising her students for these festivals and street parades.
Renee went onto the Gold Coast in 2006 where she managed the Broadbeach precinct for a time and hosted many grand events such as Indy at Night, Popera on the Park and Blues on Broadbeach. Of an evening she trained and taught at the Todd McKenney school of dance in Broadbeach.

In 2007, Renee then went on to spend just under ten years working and travelling overseas in the Cruise Industry (Princess Cruises) where she held the position as Entertainment Director and Onboard Sales Manager for many years. Event managing and producing many events whilst onboard, she has worked alongside some of the best in the business. Often shows and entertainers were flown in from all over the world (such as Las Vegas, New York, London, Asia, Europe) to join these vessels for a cruise to perform, Renee's industry experience and contacts list is incredible.

In 2017, Charlie was born. "A homie with another chromie".
Finding it difficult to find truely inclusive activities locally for him to attend, they embarked on building an inclusive and empowering dance studio with positive culture for students and families to grow in and dancers with incrediably high skill level in a multitude of genres making them more appealing for the industry.

Hotshots Performance Dance Team was established in 2020 just prior to COVID.
Renee Zoomed her way through some dark days for her families and they came out resilient and stronger than ever.

Finishing up in Sunraysia in 2024 and moving south for personal reasons and to change direction with the business, Miss Renee finished up 2024 with one of her Junior students, Adaline Miller, being accepted on Team Australia for the 2025 Dance World Cup in held in July in Burgos, Spain.

We now offer Virtual lessons to students from all over the world (including her competition team from Mildura) and will be continuing Hotshots with gusto into 2025.
